Mode of action: inhibition of vitamin K-epoxide reductase, leading to coagulation failure over four to seven days post-feed. The sub-lethal feeding profile matters more than the kill speed. Rodents are neophobic — a fast-acting bait is avoided within twenty-four hours of the first death. With bromadiolone the colony continues to feed for several days before any animal shows symptoms, which means we kill the harborage population rather than just the foraging individuals at the station.
Wax block format is mandatory for Karachi industrial humidity. Loose grain bait absorbs moisture in five to ten days, develops mould, and is rejected on the next visit. Paste sachets we use only inside indoor harborage at lower humidity. The block format also survives the rough handling and water exposure that an outdoor perimeter station sees on a Bin Qasim or Korangi site.
Brodifacoum and difenacoum — the rotation chemistry
Bromadiolone resistance in Rattus norvegicus is documented globally and is a real concern on long-running Karachi accounts. We do not use it on food-manufacturing sites. Tracking powder — we do not use it on food-mfg sites
